Drag Me Outside (“we,” “us”) runs this website to organize drag nature hikes, share community resources, and process donations and event signups. Information we collect
- Event signups & waivers: name, email, and waiver signature when you RSVP or buy a ticket.
- Donations & purchases: the amount and item purchased. Card and billing details are entered directly into Stripe’s checkout, we never see or store your full card number.
- Community & local service submissions: name, email, and the listing details you submit for our team to review before publishing.
- Mailing list: your email address, if you sign up through our MailerLite form.
- Site usage: basic analytics (pages visited, approximate location, device type) via Google Analytics.
How we use it
To run events (RSVPs, waivers, capacity, and follow-up details like meeting locations), process donations and merch orders, review and publish community/local-service submissions, send the emails you’d expect from those actions (confirmations, receipts, approval/rejection notices), and understand how people use the site so we can improve it. We do not sell your information, and we only use it for the purpose you gave it to us for.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Stripe: payment processing for donations and ticket/merch purchases.
- Resend: sending confirmation and notification emails.
- MailerLite: our email mailing list.
- Google Analytics: anonymized/aggregated site traffic analytics.
- Vercel: website hosting and file storage.
We don’t share your information with anyone else, except if required by law.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors. You can block or clear these through your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time using the link in any email, or ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing dragmeoutside@proton.me.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the effective date above.
