Western Ground Snake
Welcome back lovelys! It is time once again for ✨MUG MONDAY!!✨
Coming next to the stage is the rootinest tootinest noodle in all the wild west! The Western Ground snake (Sonora semiannulata) coming from a family any of you snake lovers will know, Colubridae! This family is not new to the stage with proud kids going all the way back to the Late Eocene epoch! Now thats a group I’d love to see pull up in the club!
This Diva lights up on the stage with a bold dark eyeshadow and a skin tight orange body suit. Now thats got me hissing! These baddies are small but mighty! Measuring only 8-19 inches long and keeping that natural orange glow under the hot sun of their arid desert homes.
These sassy snakes are of least concern here in Oregon but keep a low profile and, much like most of you 😜only come out at night to hunt for small arthropods, they even eat scorpians! I love me some Takis but this is going a little far girl!
Thank you for checking in on this ✨MUG MONDAY✨ and come back next week for another diva spotlight!
